FAQs
Product
What are the dimensions of the treated timber posts?

These treated timber posts are 2.4 meters in length with a 100mm x 100mm cross-section, making them a sturdy and reliable option for fencing, structural support, and garden projects.

What is the purpose of pressure treatment for timber posts?

Pressure treatment helps protect the timber from rot, decay, and weather damage, ensuring the posts are long-lasting and suitable for outdoor use in various weather conditions.

What are the common uses for these timber posts?

These timber posts are commonly used for fencing, gate posts, garden structures, decking frames, and other landscaping projects. Their strength and durability make them versatile for many outdoor applications.

Do I need to treat the posts after installation?

While the posts are pressure-treated for protection, applying an additional wood preservative or stain can help maintain their appearance and provide further weatherproofing, especially in exposed locations.

How long do treated timber posts last?

With proper maintenance, treated timber posts can last 15 to 20 years or more, depending on the environment and exposure to elements. Regular inspections and treatment will help extend their lifespan.

Are these posts suitable for use in the ground?

Yes, these treated timber posts are ideal for in-ground use, such as for fencing or structural supports. The pressure treatment helps protect the wood from moisture and decay in contact with the soil.

Can I cut the timber posts to size?

Yes, you can cut the timber posts to your desired length. However, any cut ends should be treated with a wood preservative to maintain the protection provided by the original pressure treatment.

Installation
How do I install these timber posts?

Installation depends on your project, but typically the posts are placed in pre-dug holes and secured with concrete or post mix. Ensure the posts are level and aligned for a sturdy and professional finish.

Please Note: If the posts are going into ground contact we would always recommend applying Bitumen to the part that is in the ground and sitting just above it. This will help protect timber from rotting.
