    Aftercare and Maintenance
    Can I paint my gates?

    You can! You can only use water-based paint on our gates; however, you will need to ensure the gate is as dry as possible before painting. We do recommend applying UV protection to the gate prior to painting also.

    What maintenance is required?

    We highly recommend treating your gate at least every 6 months with Osmo Oil, to protect your gates against the elements and against decay, as well as discolouration. We also recommend checking your gates every so often and removing any built-up dirt and grime.

    How do I prevent warping/bowing?
    How long do your Cottage Mortise and Tenon T&G Entrance Gate Pair last?

    If properly maintained, our Cottage Entrance Gates can last between 10-15 years.
