Handmade in the heart of the Devon countryside by our expert joiners using traditional joinery techniques. Our Shebbear featheredge driveway gates provides a traditional feel to your entrance, adding charm and character as well as privacy and protection. You can expect a high quality finish and a set of gates that will last for many years to come. Before being dispatched and delivered straight to your door, all of our gates are checked by a quality control team to ensure we send out only the best gates.

Our Shebbear driveway gates are made from extremely durable featheredge cladding boards and heavy duty 4"x2" bracing to ensure a good solid structure is formed. All parts of the gate have been treated using a green tanalith pressure treatment which will penetrate the wood and ensure a long life and resistance to rot.

Ironwork and posts can be added as extras and will pop up when you add the gate to your cart.

What's included in delivery?

Our gates do not arrive with the hinges and posts; these will need to be purchased separately. You can find these on our website, or when adding the gate to your basket as 'Get extras for your product'.

Do you make bespoke/custom gates?

We absolutely do! Just like our fencing and pergolas, we can make completely bespoke Entrance Gates. If you'd like a quote for your measurements, please contact our Sales team on 01409 231 763 or sales@ruby-group.co.uk.

Aftercare and Maintenance
Can I paint my gates?

You can! You can only use water-based paint on our gates; however, you will need to ensure the gate is as dry as possible before painting. We do recommend applying UV protection to the gate prior to painting also.

What maintenance is required?

We highly recommend treating your gate at least every 6 months with Osmo Oil, to protect your gates against the elements and against decay, as well as discolouration. We also recommend checking your gates every so often and removing any built-up dirt and grime.

How do I prevent warping/bowing?
