Frequently Asked Questions

Here’s what we get asked most often.

Do you make bespoke pergolas?

We absolutely do! Just like our gates and fencing, we can make completely bespoke pergolas. If you'd like a quote for your measurements, please contact our Sales team on 01409 231 763 or sales@ruby-group.co.uk.

Is your Cedar Shingle Apex pergola weatherproof?

If a weatherproof membrane is used, and adequately maintained with Osmo Oil, our pergolas are weatherproof.

What does 'with Overhang' mean?

A Pergola with Overhang has roofing that comes out past the front ring beam to create 'Overhang'.

What is the difference between an Apex Pergola and a 4 Pitch Apex Pergola?

An Apex roof pergola is a pergola that has a roof with two slopes that form an “A” shape, with the “apex” being the high point or peak where the slopes meet in the middle. Whereas, our 4 pitch pergola forms a 'cone' shape, with the 4 sides meeting in the middle.

Does the gazebo arrive fully assembled?

The Gazebo does not arrive fully assembled, however we have created in-depth manuals to guide you on assembly - so whether you're a keen DIY enthusiast or a professional fitter, you can construct our pergolas yourself. You can find these manuals on the specification table on each listing.

Are fixings included?

All the fixings needed for installation are included in the delivery of your pergola parts!

Can I paint my pergola?

You can! You can only use water-based paint on our pergolas, however, and you will need to ensure the pergola is as dry as possible before painting. We do recommend applying UV protection prior to painting also.

What maintenance is required?

We highly recommend treating your pergola at least every 6 months with Osmo Oil, to protect your gazebo against the elements and against decay. We also recommend checking your pergola every so often and removing any built-up dirt and grime.

How long does your Gazebos last?

Our Gazebos can last anywhere from 10-20 years if properly maintained.

Is shipping free?

Delivery is free on all orders over £150! We offer this service to all our UK mainland customers. If you are located outside mainland UK, please contact us for a quote!

How long will it take to get my order?

Our gazebos are on a 10-15 working day lead time! However, for an exact delivery day, please click here.

What shipping courier do you use?

We use our own fleet of delivery drivers to ensure the best service! Our drivers are more than happy to leave your goods in a safe place! Your order will be fully trackable, with a 1-hour time slot provided! Our tracking app will allow you to see the progress of the driver throughout the day.
