How To Measure: Bifold Gates

Take 3 measurements between the posts. Across the top, middle and bottom. Make note of the smallest measurement.

The reductions you need to make depend on the style of bifold gate you have and how you are going to mount the hinges; on the back of the posts or in-between them.

For the bifold gates, you just need to know the width of your gate to know whether you need the <1500mm or the >1800mm hinges.

Rear of the Post's...

Hinge plates mounted on the rear face of the post, with back edge of gate sitting flush with the back edge of the post. The gate will open towards the driveway.

For a 3 leaf gate, reduce 50mm from your lowest measurement.

For a 4 leaf gate, reduce 60mm from your lowest measurement.

For a 5 leaf gate, reduce 70mm from your lowest measurement.
